A film trailer has to be successful in its marketing, this then will be reflected from how many ($) the film made. Film trailers are the tool for advertisement and making money. How do you promote your film if not? Film trailers can be watched on all sorts of mediums.. E.g. Televisions, Social media, Ipads, Computers etc.

What does a film trailer aim to do?
A film trailer aims to produce a snapshot of the film you will hopefully want to watch( That's if its successful to grab you!) directors show of there editing in the trailer by choosing scenes and shots they want to place without revealing to much detail so the audience will want to see the film.

I love this snapshot because I feel as if the Mise - en - scene is perfect. The outfit is red typically symbolising a clown of being bright and vibrant so it attracts people especially in our case (Child). The blue balloon is significant throughout the trailer as it signifies the journey and connection between the clown and the child. I like the idea of the lighting being ambient (natural) and sunny because it poses a juxtaposition e.g. creepy clown and sunny happy day. The simple hand gesture is implying that the clown is approachable and friendly however in the trailer this reveals it may not be the case.
